Successful Goal Setting Using the Power of Affirmations

In life we all need goals. Successful people tend to be the ones that know where they are going, and move in that direction. Our mind can be trained to help us to achieve our goals almost automatically, and the best way to do this is to write our goals in the form of an affirmation.

Affirmations by definition are your goals written in the form of a statement and repeated either verbally or mentally time and time again. To be most effective they should have a visualization and emotional element, that is as you repeat them in your mind or verbally you should feel the emotion of and picture yourself achieving the goal.

To be most effective and powerful your goal affirmations should follow a few proven guidelines.

Goal setting affirmations should always be stated in the present tense. For example; "I now have a wonderful job." Avoid affirming something in the future tense, e.g. "I am going to have a wonderful job" or the results will always be waiting to happen.

Goal setting affirmations should always be expressed as a positive statement. For example: "I am no longer sick." This is a negative statement. Instead, affirm: "I am now perfectly healthy in body, mind and spirit." This statement is much more powerful as it is positive and reinforces your desired goal and doesn't confuse your subconscious mind with the mention of the undesirable condition.

Goal setting affirmations should short and specific. Shorter affirmations are much easier to visualize and emote, Long wordy affirmations will just cloud your visualization with extra elements making your subconscious mind find it harder to work on helping you to achieve the desired effect.

If you follow the above simple formula for creating affirmations that work. Using the above rules, you can easily create your own affirmations to manifest any desire or need or achieve any goal you have in life.

Extra bonus tip: Although the practice of affirmations is easy, some people can find it challenging to repeat the affirmations continuously, while maintaining the highly charged emotional state necessary to make the affirmations work. There is however available a nifty bit of software that makes the affirmation process effortless - and that you can use to automate those challenging aspects (such as maintaining highly charged emotions), and thereby, manifest your desires more quickly?
