How to Stay Motivated All the Time!

Think back to the last time you felt that streak of motivation coursing through you. You were more organized, focused, and decided to do whatever was needed to achieve your goal. Nothing could stop you! But what happened? The fire quickly burned out. You started making excuses as to why you couldn't accomplish your goal. You returned to your old habits. Your comfort zone. (Even if it isn't all that comfortable!)

Soon you read another book or listen to another speaker and your motivation spikes and you repeat the scenario all over again. The fact is that it's not hard to GET motivated, it's STAYING motivated where most people fail. As humans we don't like change or challenge, even if it means giving up on our dreams.

So how do you stay motivated? What can you do right here and now that will push you out of your comfort zone and into a place where you steadily reach your goals and dreams? How do you move forward even when challenges get in your way at every turn?

*You need a strong goal with focus. Not just something like, "I want to lose weight. I really need to lose weight. I have to get rid of this weight!" Take a look at where you're at now and where you want to be. Set a reasonable time frame for accomplishing the goal then set up mini-goals along the way. For instance, say your goal is to lose 50 pounds. You didn't put the weight on over night, so don't expect it to fall off within days or weeks. Give yourself a reasonable time frame of one year to lose it. Your mini-goal is one pound a week. One pound a week is definitely doable! How will you lose the weight? Moderate exercise three times a week? Cutting out on sugary and fatty foods? Make it something easy that you can stick with. You want to keep your motivation level consistent not a constant roller coaster!

*Focus on the end results. Most worthy goals take time. Say you have your own business and you're trying to increase your income. First you cut out some non-essentials that will help your budget and maybe you bring in a few new clients or contracts. Right now this may seem like mere pennies in a bucket, but over time these small steps add up. Energy works on inertia. It's hard to get it moving, but once it does there's often a snowball effect! If you focus on where you want to be, it's easier to take steps daily that will help get you there. "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."

*Constant reminders. Out of sight equals out of mind. Don't lose sight of your dreams! Write down your goals on a card and carry it with you. Make it a habit to read this several times a day-in the morning, at lunch, and in the evening. Many multi-millionaires have used this tip to stay focused and remind themselves of their goals. Write your goals on Post-its and stick them around the house. Send yourself a motivational voicemail and listen to it daily, or at least when you find your energy failing.

*Tell others. By letting friends and family know that we're pursuing our goals it makes it a bit more difficult to toss it aside when we lose our motivation. Pride often keeps us going. When someone asks you, "Hey, how's your project going?" You don't want to reply, "Oh, I lost motivation. I gave up. I couldn't do it." (Oh you may have a list of other excuses, but basically that's what you're saying.)

Staying motivated takes practice, but it's a skill anyone can learn. The more changes you see in your life, however small at first, the more incentive you have to tackle more and more goals. You CAN change your life. It doesn't matter where you currently are that matters, the future is up to you!

Break Free - And Start Living Life To The Fullest

A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write if he is ultimately to be at peace with himself.
~ Abraham Maslow ~

Do you sometimes feel like you are chained up in a cage? Or feel like you are inside prison walls?

If so, why do you think that is?

Is it possible that you are not being completely true to yourself? That you are living a lie?

In other words, could it be that you are not living who you really are? Not doing what makes you happy or what makes you at peace with yourself?

Listen

Listen closely to the answer you get from within.

Do you hear a voice saying yes? Then you know something's not right.

Now, the question is

When are you going to start paying closer attention to that voice? That part of you that's crying out for help? That part of you that's constantly begging to be set free?

And, more importantly, when are you going to start doing something about it?

When are you going to start doing what you love? What you enjoy? What gives you a deep sense of fulfillment? What makes you feel whole?

When are you going to put into practice William Shakespeare's good advice below?

~~~~~~
This above all: to thine own self be true.
~~~~~~

The truth is, you can start nowright nowjust by deciding.

You don't need anyone's permissionexcept your own.

You can start doing and living what makes your heart sing.

(I'm sure you can remember many times when you felt intense joy...when you felt complete. When things just felt rightvery right. When deep down inside you, a part of you said something like: "Yes, this is what I love. This is what I am meant to do." Well, there's no reason why you can't have that feeling all the time.)

You don't need to remain chained up (or to continue living a lie). You don't have to allow society or others to dictate the way you should live, the type of work you should pursue, the types of activities you should give priority to, and so on.

No, you don't have to stay helpless inside that cageinside those prison walls.

You have a choice.

You can decide, here and now, to break free. To do what you loveand to do it as often as you wish.

Who cares about the past? Leave it behind you. That's where it belongs.

You can decide to live life to the fulleststarting today.

Remember, it's "your" life. And you don't have to give power to anyone (or anything) over it.

(Although others may be well-intentioned when they try to discourage you from pursuing what you lovethinking they know what's best for youit is "you"and not themwho will end up either happy or miserablein the short-termand in the long-term. I mean, just imagine what it would be like, if one day, in the future, you looked back and couldn't help but say, "I wish I had lived my life differentlypursued what I truly love. I wish I didn't allow others to dictate the course of my life. 'Cause then I wouldn't be so miserable today.")

~~~~~~
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
~ Mark Twain ~
~~~~~~

"You decide" how you should live your life (of course, always making sure that your motives and actions are in line with what pleases God).

Life is shortfleetinglike a vapor. (George Mateljan knew this when he said: Life is too short to spend time doing anything except what you are passionate about.)

So live life to the fullest. Do whatever makes your heart singwhatever makes you at peace with yourself. (And remember to contribute to others in positive ways whenever you can.)

Do it nowwhile there's still time.

Fixing and Protecting With Archangel Michael

Archangel Michael's name means "he who is like God". Michael is a leader among the archangels. He is in charge of the angels in the second triad called the Virtues. He also overseas the life purpose of all lightworkers.

Michael's chief function is to rid the earth and its inhabitants of the toxins associated with fear. He does this through the humans who are known as lightworkers.

According to Doreen Virtue, who is a light workers, you are a lightworker if you:

Feel the call to heal others

Want to resolve the world's social and environmental problems

Believe that spiritual methods can heal any situation

Know you are here for a higher purpose, even if you are unsure of what it is or how to fulfil it.

Archangel Michael inspires and teaches lightworkers. He has been around since the time of Adam and Eve. Joan of Arc told her inquisitors that it was Archangel Michael who gave her the impetus and courage to lead France during the Hundred Years' war. Archangel Michael is a warrior angel. He is strong and very powerful. He usually carries a sword which he uses to release you from your connections with fear.

When you need to increase your qualities of love, power, strength and unwavering faith, call upon Archangel Michael. He gives you guidance and direction to help you when you need him.

Other roles that Archangel Michael has include leading lost and fearful souls to the light. When a spirit is stuck on earth and needs to go to the light to enter the spirit world, but does not see the light, Archangel Michael will take them to the light and assist them in moving on. He does this in a powerful and persuasive way.

Fixing electronic equipment, such as computers, or even cars is easy for Archangel Michael. If you are having difficulty with your equipment, ask Michael to assist and you may feel a strong and hot presence near you. Then whatever was not working will be fixed. There are many stories about Archangel Michael. These are covered in Doreen Virtue's book "The Miracles of Archangel Michael".

What Changed My Thoughts

A Spiritual Shielding Technique - Psychic Self Defense

The physical body is surrounded with spiritual energy, the aura. The aura is a dynamic living entity, part of the physical self, yet separate to the extent in which it interacts invisibly with our surroundings and other energy forms. The aura is the energetic embodiment of the soul or spiritual self.

The physical mind can be taught to reshape spiritual energy form into a psychic shield, a protective bubble which does not allow harmful energy to reach the inner core of the soul where it can do the most damage.

The process is quite simple and is strengthened through practice. Begin with the simple meditation routine described on page ten of this book. During the course of your meditation visualize your aura as a vibrating field of light energy. The field of energy extends outward a few inches from the surface of your skin.

Your life energy vibrates and swirls around you at all times, coming into contact with all manner of other life energies, both positive and negative. Now imagine the energy of your aura forming the shape of a protective globe of brilliant light. Negative thought and intentions in the form of red light as well as dark energy attempt to corrupt your spiritual existence. Within the protection of your light energy globe, negative influences bounce off, are deflected and returned to their original source.

Make a practice of visualizing the creation of your protective energy shield at the start of every meditation session. With repetition the strength of your psychic shield is increased and can eventually be called up at will. Rely on your shield at any time that you feel under the influence of psychic assault. This technique for calling up a protective barrier against even the strongest of negative energies whenever it is needed, involves connecting the mind, body and spirit instantly to create a powerful protective energy barrier.

Once you have familiarized your self with the meditative technique of visualizing a protective bubble you should be able to summon this shield without the assistance of meditation. Simply focus your mind on the act of creating the shield. While your mind is focused on creating the shield, use your hands to close the energy conduit of your aura. In a very real sense, you and every other living creature are both a source and a conductor of energy. You are in constant and direct connection with the energy of all things.

The physical act of closing the hands has the effect of closing a circuit. You are closing the circuit of your life energy while still remaining connected to the energy of the universe. The combination of closing the life energy circuit and creating a protective aura shield is the most powerful tool available for combating a psychic attack. This maneuver not only defends the spiritual self, it sends the negative energy of an attack directly back to its origin. The attacker sees his own negative energy returned only with more momentum and force than was originally created. Practice visualizing the instant creation of an aura shield; imagine with as much detail as possible the protective energy of your spirit blossoming outward to form an impenetrable barrier.

Now combine this visualization with the act of closing the hands. Hold your hands a few inches apart, as if you were about to clap or begin a prayer. Try to feel the energy of your aura between your hands. Many people report feeling a slightly warm sensation when performing this procedure. Pay attention to whatever sensations you may be feeling at this moment. Now, press your hands together, and as you do visualize the energy of your aura being compressed between your hands. As you compress the aura it forms a globe which surrounds your entire body.

The physical act of clasping the hands to temporarily close your life energy circuit and visualizing the protective aura are instantaneous. Practice this technique until it feels completely natural. One of the greatest advantages of this psychic defense technique is that it can be used discretely. This seemingly simple hand gesture can be used in almost any public situation without drawing attention to the fact that you are combating negative psychic energy. When confronted with any form of threatening energy, this technique offers an incredibly powerful and stealthy defense.

Don't forget to turn off your protective shield when it is no longer needed, use it when feeling confronted or overwhelmed by negative energy and rely on the strength of your spirit for day to day protection.

Possessing Our Inheritance

It seems there was this man that for all of his life lived in need. No matter what he attempted, it seems he could never get ahead. One day he received notification that a distant relative had died and left to him their mansion. Obviously this man was elated. Finally something had gone right for him.

Upon receiving the deed and keys to the mansion, this individual proceeds to his new possession. As he arrives, he is struck with awe and amazement at its size and grandeur. With great excitement, he inserts the key and opens the massive polished oak doors stepping into the most elaborate and beautiful foyer he has ever seen.

The floors are a gleaming marble. The walls are decorated with priceless paintings. The curtains are what you would expect in the most opulent of homes. The chandeliers are of exquisite cut leaded glass reflecting the sunlight into a myriad of rainbow colors. The man is so overwhelmed with joy that tears begin to flow down his cheeks. He pauses for a moment thinking about this distant relative who he has never met, yet this relative has given him the best gift of his life.

Suddenly, the man turns and walks out with a smile on his face, locking the door and returns to his meager dwelling. All through the week, he lives his life of existence, thinking about his mansion. He has told his friends at work about it. Even given some directions to it. Yet every day he returns to his same old abode.

A week later, we find this man back at his new mansion. With similar excitement he places the key in the door and swings open that large door and steps into the foyer. Once again, he is overwhelmed with the beauty, and it is all his! He revels in the wonder that he could be so fortunate and mentally thanks his relative for this gift. After a few minutes he turns and once again, walks out the massive door and returns to his routine life of meager existence.

Unfortunately, because he did not venture further into the mansion, he missed the envelope his relative left in one of the other rooms. Inside this envelope were instructions to access the safe in the office that obtained the keys to various lock boxes where further valuables were stored.

This process of weekly visits to his mansion is repeated week after week, month after month, until the man has developed a pattern of accessing limited benefits of his new mansion.

Now we all understand this is a fictitious story. We really don't believe anybody would be that foolish, not taking full possession of his inheritance.

However, we find this happens week after week in churches throughout the body of Christ. With the traditional focus of the church on the salvation message, we constantly focus on entering the kingdom of God. Our message is continually presenting the door to this wonderful spiritual domain. Week after week we encourage believers to focus on entering into the experience God has for them and making sure that they have continual access.

There is more to the kingdom than the door. Jesus came preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of Heaven -- the good news of the dominion of a spiritual realm. Inside the kingdom God has for us much more than we could ever imagine. There is provision, protection, peace, joy, power and demonstration. We need to venture deeper into our fathers house and seek what He has placed there for us.

How can we accomplish this?

  • Change our prayer to abiding prayer - stay until we hear from Him.
  • Seek to mature beyond being a child of God to becoming a son of God.
  • Walk in the empowering of the Spirit, demonstrating apostolic authority.

till next time - Martin Schmaltz - http://www.apostolicmissions.org - http://www.martinschmaltz.blogspot.com

Living With Out Limits

Various Types of Ghosts

You have read volumes about ghosts and have browsed hundreds of websites to devour more information on ghosts, but have you ever wondered how many types of ghosts there are? The fact is that there are various types of ghosts out there and all these are minutely described and documented by the Spiritual Science Research Foundation (SSRF).

The Spiritual Science Research Foundation has undertaken extensive research on ghosts in order to demystify this widespread phenomenon and help people in recognising and treating the adverse effects caused by ghosts through proven methodology according to the science of Spirituality.

At the outset, it is important to note that while we use the phrase ghosts (demons, devils, negative energies, etc.) as a collective noun to cover the entire gamut of negative energies, there is a vast difference between the lower order ghosts and higher order ghosts such as subtle sorcerers (maantriks) from the sixth and seventh region of Hell. They differ according to their spiritual strength. Ghosts primarily use their spiritual strength to harm humanity.

The generic types of ghosts as identified by the Spiritual Science Research Foundation in ascending order of hierarchy as well as power and strength are:

  • Common ghost

  • Demons

  • Black serpent

  • Female goblin

  • Jaakhin

  • Witch

  • Spirit

  • Subtle sorcerer

  • The Hierarchy among Ghosts

There is a hierarchy among ghosts which is based on their spiritual power or strength. Ultimately all ghosts are controlled by subtle sorcerers (maantriks).

Basic shape and form of types of ghosts

The spiritual principle that word, touch, form, taste, smell and its associated energy coexist is also true with ghosts. Depending on their type of energy, they take up generic forms. These forms can however change, depending on what the ghost is trying to achieve. For example, if the ghost is trying to intimidate, it will take up an intimidating form, whereas if it is trying to fool a spiritual healer it may take a form of an angel http://www.spiritualresearchfoundation.org/spiritualresearch/spiritualscience/angel/index.php or a positive energy. They can also take the form of our departed ancestors thus misleading psychics and the people who come to psychics to enquire about departed relatives. This is true in almost all cases.

How does one become a Ghost in the first place?

When a person dies only his physical body ceases to exist. His subtle body however continues to exist and moves on to the other regions of the Universe. Some of these subtle bodies become ghosts. Most ghosts have unfulfilled desires such as cravings for sex, alcohol, revenge, etc. or derive pleasure out of exerting control over and tormenting humans and other subtle bodies. The subtle body of a person after physical death is defined as a ghost if their characteristics and intentions match the above. There is no special process as such which they go through to become a ghost.

How does a Ghost become a particular type of Ghost?

The main reason behind a person becoming a certain type of ghost is due to their predominant personality trait and their predominant thought at the time of death. For example people involved in adversely affecting humanity at large are more likely to become subtle sorcerers (maantriks). On the other hand excessive worldly desires and constantly thinking ill about others may culminate in one becoming a Common Ghost (Bhoot) after death.

    Summary

The most reliable way of reducing the risk of being affected or possessed by the various types of ghosts, is undertaking spiritual practice as per the 5 basic principles of spirituality http://www.spiritualresearchfoundation.org/spiritualresearch/happiness/spirituality/basicpricinples_spirituality_d.php. Spiritual practice and spiritual healing remedies, coupled with personality defect removal and eradication of ego are the tools to access supreme protection from God that insulates one from the attack of ghosts as well as helps us proceed to higher regions in the afterlife.

Your Need For Security Limits Your Opportunities

Security (or certainty) is a very elusive concept, yet most people tend to crave it in a very intense way. From farm and factory workers to professional athletes making millions of dollars a year, we tend to hear the same refrain; "I just want a job or career situation that allows me to provide security for both myself and my family." If we were to dig a little deeper into that desire, we would find that a strongly held fear about what the future holds underlies it.

Driving this fear is the fact that human beings, for the most part, have a very powerful desire to be in full control of their lives. Dealing with uncertainty is quite a stressful experience for most people; to reduce their anxiety they undertake efforts to bring some level of security to their existence. As the following quote from Deepak Chopra's book The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success indicates, however, their efforts in this regard are, in reality, misdirected:

"The search for security is an illusion. In ancient wisdom traditions, the solution to this whole dilemma lies in the wisdom of insecurity, or the wisdom of uncertainty. This means that the search for security and certainty is actually an attachment to the known."

It actually is very true: people are attached to the 'known' because, as a rule, none of us really like change. We all tend to prefer the status quo because it's predictable, and therefore theoretically safe. This is the case even if we are not content with our present situation, for in a very real sense it is preferable to have the certainty even at the price of unhappiness. There is however, a big problem that arises from attachment to the 'known': it may well prevent us from experiencing all sorts of wonderful and positive things out there in the 'unknown'. As Joseph Campbell was heard to say, "nothing is exciting if you know what the outcome is going to be," and yet most people continue to crave predictability and certainty instead.

To leave behind any attachment you have to security, you must first come to the decision that you are indeed willing to leave behind the alleged safety of the 'known'. The next step is to move beyond simply being willing and actually venture into the 'unknown'. This action clearly requires some courage on your part, and it's also necessary that you have some patience with yourself, for your desire for security was taught to you very early in life and then regularly reinforced as you matured. This craving is merely a bad habit, and as everyone knows, habits can be broken. In that regard, consider this excerpt from Stuart Wilde's book Infinite Self:

"One of the ideas to remember is that the need to feel secure is only a bad habit. You can feel secure even when you don't know what will happen next. It's only a custom of ego that requires you to "need to know." You don't! When you become more infinite in your perception, you become more open, and knowing what will happen next becomes less important. It's the difference between flow and restriction. You can be quite secure even when you don't know."

Overcoming this habit essentially means leaving your old fear-based conditioning behind by learning to trust in the very force that created you. The best way to accomplish this, is to adopt a "let go and let God" approach and surrender the 'need to know' that Mr. Wilde refers to in the preceding passage, to a higher power.

In my own life, I will admit that in the past I have found this process to be very testing, because my formative years were filled with regular admonitions about the importance of pursuing security. Nonetheless, I have remained on my own uncharted path of spiritual growth because my intuition tells me this is what I am supposed to be doing, and many things continue to show up in my life to confirm this.

From all that I have witnessed, successfully dealing with uncertainty requires that you keep your thoughts in the present moment as much as possible, for normally it is only when you are 'time-traveling' into the future that insecurity besets you. While you cannot actually stop the fear-based future thoughts that emerge within your consciousness, you can develop the skill to witness those thoughts instead of identifying with them, and then remind yourself to return to the present moment.

You might be thinking, "Hey, that's going to take a lot of effort," and if that is your reaction, you are absolutely correct. It's definitely not easy to become a more conscious being, but just what is your alternative? Sure, you can always keep doing what you are doing, but if it hasn't brought you the happiness and fulfillment that you've desired, then why not learn to better exercise God's greatest gift to you besides life itself - freewill choice.

This ability to freely choose to what you give your thought and feeling energy means that you do not have to stay the same way you have always been; you can instead leave behind those aspects of your conditioning that merely serve to limit your potential to experience joy in this life. To end this discussion about security, I ask that you take a moment to reflect upon this additional very inspiring and practical passage from The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success:

"When you experience uncertainty, you are on the right path - so don't give up. You don't need to have a complete and rigid idea of what you'll be doing next week or next year, because if you have a very clear idea of what's going to happen and you get rigidly attached to it, then you shut out a whole range of possibilities."

Using Social Bookmarking To Increase Page Rank

If you are an online entrepreneur then it is imperative that you promote your site well. And no internet marketing or online promotion strategy is completely successful without a high ranking in the search engines, especially Google. One of the most effective ways to boost traffic to your site is to get into social bookmarking.

It is now a revealed wisdom that in order to get high rankings in search engines, a website must have lots of quality inbound links. And social bookmarking is one of the most effective ways to do just that. It is a web-based service that allows users to store or save lists of links to various web pages that they find useful. Other people with related interests can view the links by subject, category, tags, or even by chance.

These social bookmarking sites have the potential to direct hundreds or thousands of targeted visitors to your site within a very short time. It is also evident that higher and more successful Google Ranking might be done on the basis of those pages that users find interesting on social bookmark sites.

To promote your website or business to a specific targeted audience, you must begin publishing articles to the social bookmarking sites as quickly as you can. Make sure it has good content also, so that others will want to link up with you, and you will be listed on many other pages as well.

Page rank is a statistical assessment used by Google that signifies how popular a site is on the web. Search engines presume that when one site links to a different site, it is casting a vote for the site. More votes imply more popularity of the site. Also, the ranking of the site that is casting the vote determines how important the vote itself is. Google calculates a site's importance from the number of votes cast for it.

The fundamental concept behind social bookmarking is that when thousands of people get together, bookmark their desired sites, and employ explicatory tags to each page that they bookmark, some websites will ascend to the top as being more popular. Other users in the network then refer to those pages. Consequently the posting of the links multiply. This will boost the page ranking.

Successful social bookmarking is a definite way to get a high Google ranking. Hence it is just not enough to get the URL of your site into the pages of social bookmarking sites. You need to take care of proper content and avoid spamming. You have to focus on getting more traffic by following some essential tips.

-Quality content: Since users are the determiners in the case of link referrals it is extremely essential to have proper content. Interesting topics that can attract a lot of targeted users is what you should aim for. Make sure that your information resources have high visibility on your site.

-Search engine Optimization: You must follow the search engine optimization tips to make your article accessible to a user. Keyword optimization and target ranking are some of them.

-Social bookmarking buttons: You must make it easier for users to bookmark you. It means that you should create links that keep the number of clicks to a minimum while guiding the user to your page.

I hope that you enjoyed and learned something from my article. I have gained from my experience and I hope to give someone a little help from what I have learned and make their road a little less bumpy. Friends Win

Joan Borysenko, Ph.D., author of Minding the Body, Mending the Mind sums it up when she says that it is an "invaluable book written by one of the finest psychiatrists of our time."

More often it is said that one should cultivate positive thoughts which will bring positive vibes in our lives. If a man achieves emotional freedom, he or she will have constructive thoughts in their lives. You will feel that you are in command of your life. You will communicate properly and successfully with others and as a result you will have greater confidence. Transformation of your life depends totally on your thoughts and ideas. Dr. Judith is an intuition expert and psychiatrist. She understands that a lot of problems in modern days are an outcome of stress and tension in our lives.

She truly believes that if one can combine the findings of traditional science with psychology and knowledge of intuition and spirituality, one will attain that perfect moment of happiness. You should liberate yourself from all kinds of negative thoughts. If the mind is cluttered with negative thoughts and ideologies, it will be difficult to think of anything properly. There will be tension, anxiety, and fear. There should be less fear so that one can live life happily. It is the inner urge to cultivate positive energy which helps in living a happy life. Once you read the book, you will understand that compassion will help you to achieve that kind of calmness in our lives. If you follow the path of spirituality and compassion, you will truly believe in positive thoughts.

Can You Change Your Outlook?

Now, I am going to have to start by saying that having a positive attitude or outlook on your life is absolutely necessary but it is not the entire solution when you are trying to change your life. With that being said, the question is can you change your outlook on life?

And the answer is...

Yes! It may take time though. Someone who has habitually looked at the world from a certain point of view may need to gradually change their outlook over time. Sometimes it will happen right away, but most of the time, it will take effort and patience on your part. The more you can keep a positive outlook on your life and the situations that you are in, the more you will be able to see the possible opportunities that there are.

Notice how I said possible opportunities. They are only possible outcomes. It is up to you to make the choice on whether or not you will take these opportunities and it is up to you as to how you will do this as well. You may be looking for an answer to all of your problems and situations but the truth is that only you can provide all of the answers.

Having a positive outlook is necessary when it comes to really enjoying the life that you are living and also for you to be able to recognize opportunities when they show up. But it is not the only thing that you must be aware of. You can change your outlook on life and change your results, but there is an entire process that you must learn in order to do this.

Enhance Your Overall Personality With Ayurveda & Yoga

Ayurveda, literally meaning 'the Science of Life', shares an age-old relationship with India. Basically Ayurveda and Yoga are evolved from India only and have been practiced here for centuries. It is a holistic healing science in which the medicines are prepared from natural and organic materials making it the only totally eco-friendly medical science now known.

The origin of this ancient Indian medical science dates back to the era when Vedas (the oldest available classics of the world) were created. This system of traditional medicine native to India deals with the maintenance of health and relief from disease. It focuses on exercise, yoga, meditation and massage.

Basic Principles

Ayurveda says that the human body consists of three primary life forces or biological humors (Tridoshas)- Vatha, Pitha and Kapha. Proper health requires a balance among these three life forces. Otherwise these can cause a state of unhealthiness or disease. The Ayurvedic treatment is known for its 'Panchakarma therapy', which includes cleaning enemas, nasal medication, Purgation, Emesis and blood letting. There are a total of eight disciplines of Ayurveda treatment, namely:

  • Shalya-chikitsa (Surgery)
  • Salakyam (Treatment of diseases above the clavicle)
  • Kaaya-chikitsa (Internal medicine)
  • Bhuta vidya (Demonic possession)
  • Kaumarabhrtyam (Paediatrics)
  • Agadatantram (Toxicology)
  • Rasayanam (Prevention and building immunity)
  • Vajikaranam (Aphrodisiacs)

Ayurvedic Treatments

Ayurvedic therapies work on the processes of 'Tonification' and 'Reduction'. On one hand, Tonification methods nurture insufficiency in the body while Reduction therapies, on the other, decrease excesses in the body. Reduction therapies are further categorized as 'Pacification' (done with herbs, fasting, exercise, sunbathing and exposure to wind) and 'Purification' (a special form of therapy for elimination of the disease causing humors).

Ayurveda tours in India offer hundreds of Ayurveda therapies specially designed for different kinds of disorders/diseases. A few most popular therapies are: Pizhichil, Njavarkizhi, Sirodhara, Vasthi, Sirovasthi, Nasyam, Kizhi, Dhara, Avisnanam etc.

Ayurveda is practiced in various Ayurveda Resorts in different parts of India, out of which Kerala and a few regions in north India top the chart. The equable climate and natural abundance of forests (herbs and medicinal plants) in Kerala make it the best suited place for Ayurvedic treatments. Kerala is believed to be the only state in India which practices this system of medicine with complete dedication.

Plan a north India Ayurveda tour or a Kerala Ayurveda tour to get physically, mentally and spiritually relaxed. While on Ayurveda and Yoga tours in India, you can stay in specially designed Ayurvedic health resorts and can avail your desired natural treatments.

The Practice of Yoga

Discovering the real path of yoga

Most people are attracted to the practice of yoga after seeing a magazine cover or article featuring a very flexible model in a pretzel like posture. Upon visiting a yoga studio, school or gym they are for the most part intending to learn how to work themselves into that kind of posture developing flexibility and tone within their bodies. Many different styles of yoga are practiced and unless one is familiar with the many styles of yoga offered he or she considers them all the same.

Practicing yoga is like a skinny person wearing an oversize coat. What you see is an oversized person, however the oversized person is not the real person, the skinny person is the real person. Yoga is that process of removing the oversized coat. The yoga postures are also like the oversized coat. By practicing exclusively the physical postures you are limiting your ability to remove the oversized coat. There is much more to yoga then a well-built body. A couple of thousand yeas ago a man named Patanjali wrote down for the first time directions for removing the oversized coat. Patanjali said that there were eight paths one had to adhere to in order to realize that state called yoga. These paths are still followed today and are as relevant today as they were thousands of years ago. However many students of yoga are never exposed to them.

For the most part they are exposed to an hour of yoga postures in a gym with loud music in the background or practicing in a room with heaters set over 100 degrees to encourage sweating and increase flexibility. I am not belittling these methods of practice as I also practiced them in my earlier days of yoga. I felt good after practice, sometimes very good. Maybe we could call these practices physical postures, but don't be mislead they are not practicing yoga. Yoga is about much more than feeling good. Chocolate can also make you feel good and its just chocolate.

Listed below are the eight paths of yoga passed down to us with some remarks one which I will elaborate on at another time.

Yamas - These are guidelines on which you are supposed pattern your life. They consist of suggestions like no lying, cheating, stealing and the most important called ahimsa, which means do no harm.

Niyamas - Methods of self-purification including ways to stay healthy.

Pranayama - this is a whole section devoted to various breathing exercises. For the most part these exercises are done before meditation in order to calm and sharpen our minds.

Pratyhara - The withdrawal of the senses when practicing. The senses stimulate our minds during meditation. In order to meditate successfully we need a calm mind.

Asana - The practice of the yoga postures in order to strengthen our bodies so that we can sit in meditation without moving.

Three stages of meditation consisting of concentrating on an object, merging with that object and finally achieving a state of Samadhi or nirvana where you experience the end of your individuality and realize your connection with all there is.

Well there you are. Notice that yoga postures are only a small part of yoga practice. We need to direct our attention to the other seven paths in order to fully appreciate and start to understand this five thousand year old practice. Yoga is really about enabling us through our practice to get in contact with our real self. Meditation is the key to this practice and you can notice that most of the other seven paths are really methods to strengthen our ability to meditate. As an example of what I mean, if one steals or lies their minds are not calm enough for meditation, they would be harboring past and present karmas inhibiting their practice.

Meditation leads to that state of calmness or I could say that calmness leads to that state of meditation, a state of thoughtlessness. Mind body and soul are connected through proper practice. Just jump into the water, its not cold and you may enjoy it.

Personal Values, Beliefs, Fears and Your Health - Knee Problems One of Your Recent Health Issues?

Knee problems are a very common health concern for persons of all age groups. I have often experienced knee problems at different times of my life. I have learned to quickly examine and work on my inner personal values, beliefs, fears, habitual thought and feeling patterns to quickly get at the source of my knee pain or discomfort.

I always use Louise Hay's 'Heal Your Body' primer to quickly identify the mind body spirit issues to work with. She was an early pioneer in this field and you can use the following cause and affirmation information to help you deal with knee problems whenever you experience them.

Personal Values, Beliefs, Fears and 'Heal Your Body' Causes of Knee Problems

Stubborn ego and pride. Inability to bend. Fear. Inflexibility. Won't give in.

Louise Hay Mind Body Spirit Affirmations For Knee Problems

Forgiveness. Understanding. Compassion. I bend and flow with ease and all is well.

Effects of Stress on the Body, Dimensions of Health and Wellness Tips For Knee Problems

I know. The suggested causes do not sound great! But anytime I have honestly dug into current front burner life issues, be they relationships or challenges I'm facing, I have always been able to find the culprit, do the inner healing and balancing work and enjoy wonderful reprieve from the nagging knee problem.

Of course, using normal medical assistance such as heat balm helps on the physical level whilst you are working on the inner mental and emotional 'stuff'! Because I have used Louise Hay's little primer for over two decades, I can attest to the power, simplicity and usefulness of this holistic approach to help you get to the source cause of health conditions.

Experiment for yourself and have fun using it to clear the inner blocked energy that causes your knee problems or any other health challenge you experience from time to time.

Four Qualities Of A Highly Successful Person

What separate a regular person from a highly successful person? What make a person stand out from the rest? What are the ingredients that made some person perform better despite the lack of favorable background and environment? In this article, we will learn how to make our body and mind ready for making actions in the level that is good enough to bring us across success borderline and enjoy every minute that we live as though this is the world of our dream.

Although successful people do have problems and challenges in life like others, they know how to handle them effectively. They understand to concentrate on some qualities of their life to make them feel fulfilled. The elements include:

1. Take good care of their body: Body and Mind can not be separated in a normal individual. A poor body can not effectively deliver powerful mind and thinking. Successful people know how to take care of their body. They learn about nutrition and strictly control themselves to have healthy food. They do not eat what is considered dangerous and can lead their body into long term malfunction. There are many books on nutrition that we can look for either in the bookstores, library or internet. Continuously practice good nutrition will help us having good body and later good mind. Successful people also have enough exercise to make their body work adequately. When we exercise, our circulatory system helps bringing what our body need including nutrients and oxygen to the cells and bring out waste from the cell to outside. This is why exercise is important for everybody. The exercise should be at least thirty minutes continuously and it should be done everyday. If we do not have enough time or not convenient doing it. Make it at least three or four times a week. This is a must for our performance in all areas of live.

2. Feeling of gratitude: Successful people thank for what they are having no matter how severe challenges they may have. They focus on what they are having and make it clear to their mind. They cherish their love, relationship, status, and connection to their spiritual leader. They feel thankful everyday to what make out to be their current status. Most people live on fear and worry. However, we will not feel fear and worry if we feel grateful on what we have. Therefore making a daily schedule that we will feel grateful is crucial to our success.

3. Visualization: What is your ultimate goal? What are your small detailed goals? What do you want one month from now? How about five years and ten years from now? Do you have a clear picture of yourself achieving each one of them? If not, practice visualization every day until we finally get it. Visualization will help us bring all the circumstances and attributes that are favorable to our achievement according to the law of attraction. Make sure that we visualize daily both in the morning and before going to bed. All the mind experts already confirm that routine visualization will guarantee success in your life.

4. Positive affirmation: Reminding yourself on the quality that you want. Recite it all the time with the feeling and intense demand to our body and mind. Think of some sentences or phrases that you are sure that will be your identity. For example, we can say I like myself as Brian Tracy recommends. All we can do Everyday in everyway, I am feeling better and better like what Tony Robbins teaches. Make one that is suitable to you. This will change your life if you do it often enough with intense enough emotion.

We Know More About What We Dont

The Power of Alpha - Instant Meditation - Success, Vibrant Health and Happiness is in Your Hands!

God has made us awesome and wonderful creatures. He has created us with a mind that can enable us to achieve whatever we set out to accomplish.

Most of us do not realize that we have the power in us to achieve the things that we most desire.

~ Man can shape circumstances, but circumstances should not be allowed to shape the man. We should seize upon circumstances as instruments by which to work. We
are to master them, but should not permit them to master us. ~
Ellen White

Did you know that you can easily re-program yourself to become the person you most desire to be?

How

By slowing your brainwaves to the Alpha Level. You can achieve the Alpha brainwave state by learning meditation techniques that can be time consuming and difficult to master. Or you can achieve instant meditation by listening to sound or music that has been recorded in the Alpha brainwave range.

All the changes that you want to make in your life are now at your fingertips!

~ The greatest discovery of the 19th century was not in the realm of the physical sciences, but the power of the subconscious mind touched by faith. Any individual
can tap into an eternal reservoir of power that will enable them to overcome any problem that may arise. ~
William James

What is Alpha?
Normally, we operate in the beta state. In this state our brain waves range from 15-26 HZ. When we are in the Alpha state our brain waves average range are around 7-12 HZ.

The Alpha state is a state of "aware relaxation". Emotions experienced in the alpha state include a sense of well being, pleasure and tranquility. The Alpha brainwave level appears to link the conscious to the subconscious mind.

At the Alpha level you can re-program yourself and reap numerous advantages. The Alpha brainwave state:

  • Calms and relaxes your body and mind. The brain's thought process is slowed and the mind is clear. Tension and stress just melts away.
  • Enhances Positive thinking and Emotional Healing. Releases Negative Attitudes. Research has found the Alpha Brainwave rhythm puts you in a Positive state of Mind and Mood, enabling you to erase your negative attitudes and gives you an overall feeling of Wellness.
  • When you are in Alpha state you are mentally able to Re-Program yourself to achieve anything you Desire:

    • Gain Complete Confidence
    • Stop Addictive Habits
    • Lose Weight
    • Release Disabling Fears
    • Goal Setting and Achieving
    • Achieve any success you desire.

~ Imagination is the beginning of creation. You imagine what you desire, you will what you imagine and at last you create what you will. ~
    George Bernard Shaw

  • Accelerates Healing and enables you to Achieve Vibrant Health
  • Enhances your Learning Ability, Memory, Creativity and your Ability to Focus, Concentrate and Think more clearly.
  • Boosts Peak Performance - During speaking engagements, competitive sports and in all areas where peak performance is critical.
  • You achieve the Alpha brainwave state with ease when listening to music or sound recorded in the Alpha range. The best times to go to your Alpha level are first thing in the morning and again before you go to bed at night.

While listening, think about the things that you want to change in your life and visualize that you have already gained success in that area. Visualize what that looks like physically and what that feels like emotionally. Always visualize your success in the present tense.

For example, to heal an ailment, visualize your white blood cells surrounding and smothering the ailment until it is gone. Visualize yourself completely healthy and well.

Give yourself positive affirmations, such as the positive affirmation by French physician Emile Coue, "Everyday, in every way, I am getting better and better."

Practice Alpha meditation daily and gain the levels of success and healing you have been looking for. You have the power in you to change your life.

    Four Agreements

    Creating Your 2009 Affirmations

Remember this summer when there was rumbling of bad economic news? And the bad news noise just started growing louder and louder. The economy went from bad to worse with store closings, outrageous fuel prices and banks tightening their credit lines.

And to make matters worse even Mother Nature got in on the act with that little storm (Hurricane Ike) reeking havoc with downed trees, power outages, fuel / food shortages and massive destruction to the Gulf Coast.

It got REAL PERSONAL for me when suddenly I didn't have power to run my computer and Internet based business.

I could go on and on, and you would probably relate... but here's my point.

Even during this downturn in the economy - guess what? My business has thrived. WHAT? Even with the power off? That can't be true. OH YES!

Since the hurricane in September, my sales have tripled, new business opportunities have opened up and I am busier than ever in all facets of my business. In addition I am spending more time with family and friends as I manage a balance in my life of work, family and play. Even my husband's greeting card business took off. How could this be?

What happened? What caused this shift? How could my business be defying the odds?

I made one of the most important business decisions ever, and it paid off.I decided not to be a frog in a pot. What?

I am sure you have heard the story about if you put a frog into a pot of boiling water, it jumps out but... if you put a frog in a pot of cool water and turn up the heat, the frog becomes accustomed to the temperature, stays in the pot and COOKS!

So what did I do? I started paying attention to my most important real estate - that area between my ears, yes my noggin.

Using some simple yet powerful techniques I invested minutes each day into turning dreams into my own voice. Using my own voice i have taken action in conscious and unconscious ways to turn my business around. And the cool part is, it just keeps getting better and better.

Do affirmations work? They work for me.

What The Bleep Do You Know

The Sizzle Sells the Condo and the Steak Can Sit on the Grill For a While

Like standing in front of home plate, a variety of potential outcomes - from striking out, hitting a single or a grand slam, or getting hit by the baseball -may occur. The outcomes of buying a pre-construction condominium from a model and a set of blue prints can have the same set of consequences.

The anticipation of a new condo project can outweigh the reality of the finished product, as buyers really aren't sure of how the finished project is going to sell, once completed. Or how the finishes are going to translate into the emotional draw, or the lack thereof, that the project is going to emit, once completed.

There have been a number of instances where condo buildings actually perform better, pre-construction, than when a project is finished, and buyers can no longer embellish their hopes and visions of what any given project may look like, act like, and may actually perform, once completed. Buyers generally don't ask, or are not privy to such elements of design and construction like common hallway features. Are the ceilings in the common areas going to be sheet rocked, or will they be "dropped ceilings"?

What exactly is the quality of the kitchen cabinetry being planned? Will the shower stall inside the master or guest bathroom have a quality looking wet-bed, or will the developer be sneaking in a cheesy looking shower pan made of recycled plastic? And will the dryer be vented? These questions can be important to resale value, and stick out like a sore thumb to anyone seeing and considering a finished product. However such information may not be available to someone buying pre-construction from blueprints.

Developers have gotten good at building hype, and selling the sizzle that accompanies the excitement of buying a new construction condominium. But sometimes the sizzle can outweigh the reality of the product. An easily lead buyer can find themselves caught up in the excitement, and neglecting the details. Seeing a developer's prior work, or building products can be a big help. Also, being extremely thorough can be a big help. Ask lots of questions. If the developer doesn't have answers for you, then ask if you can reserve a unit at a particular price, until such questions are answered. Or finding a great realtor with experience in the field can be a big help.

Sizzle does indeed sell new condominiums. Any you don't need to be ordering steak to discover that a reality check may be in order if you find yourself being lead by your emotions. Doing your homework, and asking questions is the key to avoid being stuck with a tough, rubbery cut of real estate.

    Mark Wade

During the late 1980s, Mark fell in love with the Philadelphia real estate market. The first condo he bought for himself was in Old City. Working with bank foreclosures on multi-unit buildings, Mark began to carve his niche as a condominium specialist. What Happened To The Wise Men

Two Main Elements of Construction Claims

Construction claims is one of the many facets of construction law. This article discusses two key parts of construction claims: claim preparation and expert testimony.

    Claim Preparation

Once a claim has been decided as the proper course of action, it is important to develop a strategic approach in preparing and presenting the claim. Doing so will maximize the potential for recovering potential losses. Your position is best supported by a thorough analysis of the project contracts and documentation, and compelling written and graphical illustrations of the facts. Trying to gather all of this information yourself can be overwhelming. A professional company that deals specifically in construction claims can help you prepare for all types of claims, including

    scope changes
    schedule delay and disruption
    defective and deficient contract documents
    construction acceleration
    management issues
    cost of corrective work
    unforeseen and differing site conditions
    tort claims
    construction means and methods
    construction productivity loss
    delay claims
    assessment of force majeure events
    constructive and directed change
    wrongful contract termination or suspension
    payment claims
and of course, construction claim presentation and negotiation

    Expert Testimony

An expert testimony is a testimony about a scientific, technical, or professional issue given by a person who is qualified to testify because of familiarity with the subject or special training in the field. The law divides witnesses into two classes, lay opinion and expert opinion. By definition, a lay witness is any witness who is not qualified to testify as an expert on a particular subject. On the other hand, expert witnesses are persons who are qualified, either by actual experience or by careful study, to form definite opinions with respect to a division of science, a branch of art, or a department of trade.

The law states that people who don't have the experience or training necessary are not fit to form accurate opinions or draw correct conclusions. Thus, in construction claims cases, expert witnesses are gathered for the evidence and professional insight that their testimonies can provide on the case.

    Gardens Can Give You Happiness

    You are lucky

It will soon be the "Oh, you are lucky" season. those of you who play in the dirt, landscape and garden know what I mean. When the landscape begins to share its colorful flowers and roses start blooming, the perennial remarks begin:

"Oh, you are lucky to have such roses"
"Oh, you are lucky to have such rich soil"
"Oh, you are lucky that you don't have weeds" "
"Oh, you are lucky that you have the only yard without rocks"
"Your garden is beautiful, you must have a green thumb"

One day last summer I had an overdose of these remarks. The next person was going to be told that I did not have a green thumb, only two grimy hands, no fingernails, two calloused knees and an aching back. Luck had nothing to do with my garden, it was the result of plain, old hard work.

For two years we hauled away rocks and hauled in soil; and yet we had only a small front and side yard. I was planning to be very sarcastic, but I was lucky. The next person told me I was crazy to let a few flowers make a drudge out of me. Flowers were fine but not worth the work, I was silly to give up my usual weekend activities of sports on the TV just to work in the yard.

l never felt so sorry for anyone in all my life. How can anyone look at a flower garden and see nothing but work?

After she left I thought things over and decided I am lucky to have a place to garden and time to work in the yard. I am able to work outdoors in my front and backyard and consider the landscape garden a pleasure not a job.

When looking at my flowers I see friends; this friend gave me that plant, these came out of another friend's garden. We have made new friends through our garden. Working in the yard has brought me better health and peace of mind. I am happy when moving rocks with my little red wheelbarrows or remembering the time when I met a good old friend who helped me put on some solar garden lights.

We have fun with our garden. We had just finished "improving our soil with organic matter" when a woman asked what we did. Upon telling her, she wanted to go ask her "yard man" to do that for her. All we could tell her was "good luck." I am lucky, remembering the good and the amusing events of digging in the dirt; the beauty and the fragrance but not the work.

I can't think of a more pleasant way to spend a winter evening than to read and dream about the garden and am truly wide array of flowers - all kinds, sizes, shapes, scents and colors, their histories and even their names intrigue me. So the next time someone says, "Oh, you are lucky," I shall answer, "I certainly am."

In case you are unaware there is much more on the topic of solar garden lights. We make the topics simple, visit plant-care.com.

    Increase Your Happiness

The eternal search for happiness - we want it, but we seem wired more for dissatisfaction. We get something we think will make us happy and soon we're looking for the next thing. Somehow human achievement and happiness don't seem to fit together. If I'm always working to be more, to grow, how can I just be happy?

I struggle with this all the time myself. And I have some ideas that might help.

1.) Stop trying to have it all, do it all, be it all. You can't. You're going to have to decide what you want the most and really go for it. I want freedom and the price is extraordinarily high. Sometimes I pay by being lonely. But to me, freedom is worth it. Know what's really important to you. Let go of the rest. You can't be the world's greatest mother, wife, and businesswoman. Choose one, give it your best. When you're feeling unhappy, you'll have to remind yourself what's really important to you.

2.) Stop comparing yourself to others. This is a losing battle. There will always be someone who has more of something than you do; who is younger, richer, smarter - whatever. People will be hitting the beach soon - will you be having fun or worrying about how much skinner the girl in the red bikini is? Who cares? Are you ever going to see those people again? And guess what? You'll never be younger than you are now - better enjoy it today!

3.) Celebrate what you have. Be glad you can go to the beach. Some people don't have the money, time or physical ability. Some people can't see the sun sparkling on the water, they are blind. Some are deaf and will never hear the waves. Celebrate all you have - being sad about what you don't have is a waste of time.

4.) Make lemonade! Life is going to give you lemons, I guarantee it. What you do with them is what impacts your happiness. Several months ago I was lucky enough to be in a relationship, but things didn't work out. I was sad, but there was nothing I could do about it. I could throw a pity party (two of my last standing single girlfriends got engaged around the same time) or I could make lemonade. I decided to use this as the catalyst to finally book my trip to Australia. Living well is the best route to happiness. Something bad happens, you plan something good.

5.) Don't put your eggs in someone else's basket. Waiting for your spouse, boss, child to do something to make you happy? This is a bad strategy. I usually do something nice for myself on Valentine's Day (see #4), but this year I had a boyfriend, so I figured he would do something. When he didn't, I was sad and disappointed. If I had been responsible for my own happiness, I would have had a great Valentine's Day. Most folks have enough trouble with their own eggs in their own baskets. Look after your own eggs and you'll have a better shot at happiness.

6.) Just do it! Often our unhappiness is caused by something we could fix - a job we could leave, a relationship we could end, a pile of clutter we could clean up, debt we could pay off, etc. But we'd rather agonize over it, worry about it, and let it steal our joy. Sometimes the best course of action is to suck it up and deal with it. Sit down one weekend and clean up the clutter or map out a plan to start paying off the debt and then do it. If you don't, choosing instead the short term pleasure of doing something else or buying something else, the situation usually gets worse and you're more unhappy. Sometimes you have to trade short term pleasure for long term happiness.

And finally, remember that happiness means different things to different people - for some it may be spending time with family, for some it may mean travel, for some work. Know what it means for you and strive to add more of it in your life.

How to Program Your Subconscious Mind For Happiness, Health, Riches and More

If you have no confidence in self, you are twice defeated in the race of life. With confidence, you have won even before you have started. - Quote by, Marcus Garvey

Image all the things you want and dream about everyday. You can actually program your subconscious mind for the happiness, health, creativity, and riches that you deserve just by focusing on what it is you desire to happen.

What do you think about every day? Do you limit your thoughts with self-defeating beliefs and negative attitudes? Instead, entertain thoughts that are worthy of your natural birthright. Feed your mind continuous thoughts of wellness, enjoyment, prosperity, and accomplishment.

Start by daily reprogramming your Subconscious Mind to show you the behaviors that are necessary in expressing the ideal you. With a little practice you can develop any positive quality you wish. The more you practice positive behaviors, the more you become unique, confident, and enthusiastic.

Make a list of the qualities you now have that are positive and unique, and get rid of the ones that are negative and weaken your power to achieve what is best for you. In return, you influence others with your best self and attract the best in others to you. For example, some affirming thoughts for your mind to nurture may include:

    1. I am thankful for what I now have. Gratitude brings its own reward.

    2. I give cheerfully to others, not that I may receive; instead, know that giving is in direct proportion to building positive rewards for future success.

    3. My enthusiasm is at a high level. Enthusiasm increases your self-confidence and self-reliance. Relying on others for your happiness diminishes your own self-worth.

    4. I am willing to seek knowledge or help when I don't know the answer. Create a mental picture of what it is you wish to achieve and get the help you need to accomplish it.

    5. My confidence to achieve is a definite purpose that keeps me growing. Having a definite purpose in life gives you something to strive toward.

    6. I am rich according to what I am and not by what I have. Be thankful for what you have now and what is to come in the future.

    7. Sharing information that helps others may change their life for the better. By giving to others, you earn respect, eliminate envy, and selflishness melts away.

    8. I always give my best and expect nothing in return. Something good will return to me without asking.

    9. I am consistently and persistently aware of my emotions, of my health and staying well, my behavior, and my beliefs, and my thoughts. That way, any negative thoughts can be removed immediately. Negativity repels instead of attracting.

    10. My state of being and my individual choices in life are in harmony with what I wish to attract. You attract what you focus on most often.

    11. Having a positive attitude shows in my earnings and my spending. I have no trouble paying my debts, and getting what I want. I put out positive energy so more prosperity can come my way.

    12. I realize that wealth can be experienced when it is built on honesty and trust. Therefore, I will engage only in transactions that serve others with love, harmony, and a belief in them and in myself.

When you settle for lack and limit your thinking in any part of your life, you are depriving your very God given nature to not be all that you can be. Riches, health, happiness, and creativity is a mindset. When you focus your mind on these qualities of life, you create your own destiny.

Positive behaviors are effective, and life changing. Make your affirmations of happiness, wellness, achievement, and prosperity, now.

The Meaning of Life - Happiness?

Some say that the purpose of life is to seek happiness. Is happiness the purpose, or is happiness the result of another purpose? Is happiness the meaning of life, or is happiness the result of discovering what has heart and meaning for you? There is not one right answer to this question. The answer lies within each of us regarding what gives meaning to our life.

What Gives Meaning to Your Life?

Perhaps, in seeking happiness, we discover what has heart and meaning for us. Is this how it is for you? Or is it the other way around for you? Is happiness for you the result of loving yourself and others? Do you find that when you are open and loving, that you feel filled with happiness? Maybe love and happiness are inseparable. Maybe when we are happy, we are naturally loving, and maybe when we are loving, we experience happiness. If this is the case, then is the purpose of life is to seek happiness, or is the purpose of life to evolve in our ability to be loving and compassionate with ourselves and others? In my view, it is not important to separate out love and happiness. What is important is to discover what gives your life meaning. In my experience, meaning always has to do with love - with loving yourself and discovering how you want to share your love with others. When you discover this, you will likely be happy. Perhaps the meaning of life is to discover what has heart and meaning for you and, therefore, brings you happiness. The questions to ask yourself are:

    • What has heart and meaning for me?
    • What brings me joy?

    Following Your Bliss

Gillian decided early in her life that what had heart and meaning for her was getting married and having children. She had decided that if she did not have children by the time she was 43, that life was not worth living. She started working with me when she was 42, unmarried, childless, and contemplating taking her life. In the course of her deep inner work, Gillian discovered another source of meaning in her life. She discovered that learning to be loving to herself - to the spark of God that she truly is - was extremely satisfying to her. As she practiced getting to know and love her true Self, she discovered another source of meaning - helping others. She realized that working in finance was not fulfilling to her and went back to school to become a chiropractor.

Gillian currently loves helping people attain excellent health. In addition, she adopted a 10-year old girl whose parents had been killed in an accident. She has found great joy and meaning in loving her adopted daughter.Gabriel consulted with me because he was depressed. He had become an attorney because that is what his father was, but found that he disliked it. It held no heart and meaning for him. In his soul, Gabriel knew that he was a writer. He decided to "follow his bliss", as Joseph Campbell encouraged us to do. While Gabriel is currently not making nearly the money he made as an attorney, he is finding his happiness. By choosing to love himself and share his love through his creativity, he is finding his joy. Love, happiness, joy - perhaps they are all One. If you choose to pursue what has heart and meaning to you, you will likely find your joy.

How to Succeed Using Gratitude - An Hour to Live, an Hour to Love, by Richard and Kristine Carlson

You may or may not know the name Richard Carlson, but millions of people all over the world have read his, "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff," books. Dr. Carlson was considered to be one of the foremost experts on happiness around the globe. As the author of thirty popular books, he used humor and every-day life to show millions of people how to not let the small things in life get the best of them. With more than 26 million books in print, published in 35 languages in over 130 countries, Richard Carlson became a worldwide phenomenon. He spoke to enthusiastic audiences around the world and was a popular TV and radio personality. He starred in his own PBS Special, which aired to millions, and was the host of a series called, "Don't Sweat the Future." What Dr. Carlson illustrated so beautifully through all of his work is the simple fact that life does not have to be as difficult as we make it. If we are not distracted by worry and self-imposed crisis, the real purpose of life is right in front of us: Live in the present moment.

Even at the height of his fame, Dr. Carlson chose to live authentically, declining many opportunities for fame and fortune. He remained devoted to normalcy and deeply understood that every-day life is where we find our most significant gifts. In 2003, on their 18th wedding anniversary, Richard presented his wife, Kristine, with a short manuscript called, "An Hour to Live." In it, he imagined that the end of his life was imminent. He posed questions originally asked by author Stephen Levine: Who would you call? What would you say? and Why are you waiting? Uncannily, the small book foreshadowed Carlson's unexpected death three years later of a pulmonary embolism.

Following his death, Kristine published the book, adding her own responses to these questions. Titled, "An Hour to Live, An Hour to Love," Kristine asks the audience to discover their own answers. Like John Izzo's book, "The Five Secrets You Must Discover Before You Die," this book suggests that we truly liveright now and leave no regrets.

In a recent blog, Kristine Carlson shared a simple and yet very profound idea: Presence is a powerful thing. Living a fully-present life, based in gratitude is one of the basic tenets of positive psychology. To somehow decide to be grateful when the worst of all things is happening to us. To still be present for others and to not live in fear. To continue to move forward. These are the efforts that Richard and Kristine Carlson wish us to undertake right this second.

"All pain in life comes from wishing things were different than they are. So conversely, peace and happiness must come from accepting life as it is and breaking through the barriers of illusion to do so... All things that we label good or bad often hold in them surprises if we stay open. Each of us has choice in how we interpret life's events and in this way we are each responsible for our own reality." - Kristine Carlson

Richard Carlson's loving anniversary letter to his wife became a living example of gratitude to all of us. Positive psychology is much more than a science. It is the daily application of happiness to create the most successful life possible. Finding personal reasons to be grateful is a worthwhile, daily effort. For a valuable grounding exercise in gratitude, The Gratitude Letter, by well-known author Martin Seligman, please visit: http://publishing.yudu.com/Freedom/Ankww/GratitudeExercise/ As Richard and Kristine ask so beautifully in their book, Why are you waiting?
